It was found that the blood pressure levels of the patients who took garlic supplements had drastically come down. The study has found that the systolic blood pressure was reduced by an average of 4.6 mm HG with garlic takers. Patients with high blood pressure, the study has noted that the systolic blood pressure came down by 8.4 mm Hg and the diastolic blood pressure an average of 7.3 mm Hg.

The researchers claim that the garlic’s effects were similar to anti0hypertensive medicines, which are widely used. Garlic is also known to prevent the development of atherosclerosis, which leads to heart diseases. Apart from reducing cholesterol and blood pressure, garlic has been widely said to be good for some kind of cancer, like the stomach and colon cancers.
